Reggie Williams

Reginald D. Williams II (Reggie) joined the Commonwealth Fund in 2020 as the Vice President of the International Health Policy and Practice Innovations program. In this role, he is responsible for fostering international dialogue, exchange, and education that enables U.S. policy makers and healthcare leaders to learn from cross-national experiences, including The Commonwealth Fund's Harkness Fellowships in Health Care Policy and Practice. Prior to joining the Fund, Mr. Williams was at Avalere Health, a consulting firm dedicated to improving healthcare, where he served as Managing Director focusing on health care delivery innovation and digital health. Reggie earned an AB in Biomedical Ethics from Brown University.
Shwen Gwee

Shwen Gwee is a pioneer in digital health and a well-respected industry thought-leader who was recognized as a Top 40 Healthcare Transformer in 2015 and a MM&M and PR Week Health Influencer 50 in 2017. He brings over a decade of experience leading digital strategy and driving innovation in commercial, communications and clinical organizations, both on the client-side and at leading creative agencies. Shwen sits on various advisory boards, including: Google (Healthcare), South by Southwest (SXSW), MM&M Healthcare Transformers, convesrsationHEALTH, and the Digital Health Coalition. He is often featured in industry publications, speaks regularly at industry events and chairs the Digital Innovation Day for the Digital Pharma Series (East, West and EU). In 2017, he spoke about innovation in healthcare at the prestigious Cannes Lions Health festival in Cannes, France. Shwen is also very involved in the digital health startup community – he regularly organizes startup bootcamps and pitch contests (Barracuda Bowls), as well as actively runs healthcare hackathons around the world as part of the MIT Hacking Medicine team.
Nanjira Sambuli

Nanjira Sambuli is a researcher, policy analyst, and strategist interested in and working on understanding the unfolding, gendered impacts of ICT adoption on governance, media, entrepreneurship and culture.

Nanjira is a commissioner on the Lancet & Financial Times Global Commission (Governing Health Futures 2030), president and co-chair of the Transform Health Coalition, a board member at The New Humanitarian, Development Gateway, and Digital Impact Alliance (DIAL). She is also a Ford Global Fellow.

Nanjira also sits on several advisory boards, including the World Economic Forum’s Technology and Social Justice Initiatives <A+> Alliance for Inclusive Algorithms, and the Carnegie Council’s AI and Equality Initiative. Additionally, she is a diplomacy moderator at the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator (GESDA).  

Husseini Manji

As Global Head for Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Science for Minds, Husseini Manji, MD, FRCPC leads the new initiative aimed at addressing the significant unmet needs of patients with neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. His team is working to catalyze the development of novel and improved solutions for our patients worldwide with a focus on dementia; serious mental health disorders, especially those affecting youth; and innovative digital solutions/technologies.
Previously, Dr. Manjiwas Global Therapeutic Head for Neuroscience at Janssen Research & Development, one of the Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Prior to joining J&J, Dr. Manji was Chief of the Laboratory of Molecular Pathophysiology at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Director of the NIH Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program, the largest of its kind in the world.
His research has helped to conceptualize neuropsychiatric conditions as genetically influenced disorders of synapses and circuits and has prompted the investigation of novel therapeutics for patients. Dr. Manji is a Visiting Professor at Duke University and was recently appointed an Honorary Fellow at Oxford University.
