Sudha Gooty leads United Nations ESCAP’s Catalyzing Women’s Entrepreneurship (CWE) Programme, an initiative to advance women’s entrepreneurship in the Asia and Pacific. The CWE programme works with a range of partners including Governments, Private Sector, Banks and Civil Society to promote an environment where women entrepreneurs can thrive. Prior to joining ESCAP, Sudha has worked for more than 15 years with various UN agencies such as UNDP and International Organization for Migration in different countries in Asia. Her expertise includes Governance and Human Rights, Women’s Economic Empowerment and Climate Finance.
