About Sri Mulyani Indrawati

Sri Mulyani Indrawati is an Indonesian economist, who currently serves as the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, a position she has held since July 2016. She returned to this role after serving as the World Bank's Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, where she was responsible for the Bank's operations around the world. In this capacity, Sri Mulyani often represented the World Bank Group at the G20. She also chaired the International Development Association (IDA)− the World Bank's fund for the poorest countries. Sri Mulyani concurrently chairs the Development Committee− a ministerial-level forum of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund for intergovernmental consensus-building on development issues. Prior to joining the World Bank in 2010, she served as the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia from 2005 to 2010, in addition to being the Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs from 2008 to 2009. She was also the Minister of National Development Planning from 2004 to 2005.
