Sophie is the founder of the iTunes new and noteworthy, The Edtech Podcast. The mission of The Edtech Podcast is to improve the dialogue between ‘ed’ and ‘tech’ for better innovation, through storytelling. The podcast is downloaded 1500+ times a week, from up to 109 countries with the UK, US & Aus in the top 3. Sophie is a mentor and advisor within the edtech community, and is particularly passionate about female entrepreneurship.

Fatih Yilmaz is the director of partnerships & projects, project manager, and  research fellow at Beyond the Horizon ISSG. His focus areas are migration & integration, diversity & inclusion and peace & security. He has been involved in several EU projects with leading roles including All-in-one 4HER,  ORIENT8 and Supermentor. He currently focuses in immunisation against dis/misinformation against migration at Immune2Infodemic project. 

Prize-winning cellist Elisabeth Wiklander is a member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She also holds a teacher position at Ljungskile Folkhögskola in her native Sweden and has taught orchestral performance at conservatories in Amsterdam, London and New York. Elisabeth is autistic and a Neurodiversity Advocate, appointed Cultural Ambassador for the National Autistic Society in the UK. She recorded music for the award-winning film “The Reason I Jump” and is engaged in Neurodiversity projects worldwide as a speaker and advisor. Media appearances include a TEDx talk, The Daily Politics Show (BBC live) and several programmes and documentaries for Swedish Television.

Tatiana Glad is an entrepreneur, sustainability practitioner and change strategist working across sectors and cultures with a focus on impact entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability, and the next generation. Tatiana is Global Executive Director of Impact Hub, Board Member on the Sustainability Board University of Amsterdam, and co-founder of social enterprise Waterlution. Tatiana is Canadian, based in Amsterdam.

Multicultural professional with several years of experience in the design, implementation, and management of international initiatives aimed to empower diverse groups worldwide. He is an expert at creating strategic partnerships and securing collaborations efforts across sectors. As Director of NGLCC Global Division, Erasmo works with LGBT chambers of commerce worldwide to share best practices, lessons learned, and create engagement opportunities with stakeholders from the international corporate and public sector, and multilateral organizations to advance supplier diversity initiatives, create awareness for diversity and inclusion (D&I) matters, and support the growth of LGBTI-owned small and medium enterprises (SME’s).

Erasmo has also conducted qualitative research work at the Brookings Institution, one of the world's leading Think Tanks, where his portfolio focused on analyzing illegal economic activities, sociopolitical challenges, energy, and security matters throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East, East Africa, and South East Asia. 

Erasmo holds a Master of Science in Business and Financial Economics from the University of Greenwich in London where he resided for a few years. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. He is originally from Lima, Peru and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Since January 2017, Véronique Willems is secretary general of SMEUnited (formerly known as UEAPME), the organisation that represents the Crafts and SMEs in Europe. Previously, Willems was head of European affairs at UNIZO, an SMEunited Belgian member organisation, where she was responsible for advocacy on policies affecting SMEs at the EU-level. She started her career over there first as a policy officer in charge of education, training and SME counselling and was then in charge of counselling and mentoring SMEs and advocacy at the regional level in the regional office (Vlaams-Brabant & Brussel). In January 2016, Willems was nominated deputy to the SME-representative for Belgium at the European Economic and Social Committee. She holds a law degree from Vrije Universiteit Brussel as well as a master’s degree in commercial sciences and business management from VLEKHO Brussel.

Professor Yossi Sheffi is Director of the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics (MIT CTL), and Director and Founder of the Master of Engineering in Logistics Program. He is a faculty member of the MIT Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, as well as the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society. He is a global expert in systems optimization, risk analysis and supply chain management. Additionally, he is the author of a text book Urban Transportation Networks: Equilibrium Analysis with Mathematical Programming Methods (1985) and six management books: The Resilient Enterprise: Overcoming Vulnerability for Competitive Advantage (2005); Logistics Clusters: Delivering Value and Driving Growth (2012); The Power of Resilience: How the Best Companies Manage the Unexpected (2015); ); Balancing Green: When to Embrace Sustainability in Business (and When Not to) (2018); and The New (Ab)Normal: Reshaping Business and Supply Chain Strategy Beyond Covid-19 (2020). His sixth and latest book, is A Shot in the Arm: How Science, Engineering, and Supply Chains Converged to Vaccinate the World (October 2021). 

Under his leadership, the MIT CTL has launched many educational, research, and industry/government outreach programs, including the MIT Master of Engineering in Logistics program in 1998, the MIT Master of Applied Sciences in Supply Chain Management, and the MIT on-line offering the MITx MicroMasters program in supply chain management. (Launched in 2016, it has enrolled more than 350,000 learners in 196 countries.)

Prof. Sheffi launched an international expansion of MIT CTL, establishing academic logistics and supply chain management centers around the world. These include the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program in Spain launched in 2003, the Center for Latin America Logistics Innovation launched in 2007, the Malaysia Center for Supply Chain Innovation launched in 2012, the Luxembourg Center of Logistics launched in 2015, and the Ningbo Supply Chain Institute in China launched in 2016. Collectively these centers operate as the MIT Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) global network which he leads.

Outside academia, Dr. Sheffi has consulted with numerous governments and leading manufacturing, retail and transportation enterprises all over the world. He has also founded or co-founded five successful companies: LogiCorp (acquired by Ryder in 1994); PTCG (acquired by Sabre in 1996); e-Chemicals (acquired by AspenTech in 2001); Logistics.com (acquired by Manhattan Associates in 2003), and Syncra Systems (acquired by Oracle in 2004).

Dr. Sheffi has been recognized in numerous ways in academic and industry forums, including the 1997 Distinguished Service Award given by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. In addition, he a life fellow of Cambridge University’s Clare Hall College.

He obtained his B.Sc. from the Technion in Israel in 1975, his S.M. from MIT in 1977, and Ph.D. from MIT in 1978.                   

Joakim Reiter an Executive Committee member since August 2017 is Vodafone’s Group External Affairs Director, responsible for public relations and corporate affairs, including policy and regulation, communications, security, sustainability and charitable activities.

He is also currently an advisory board member of the World Trade Institute, sits on the Board of the Swedish Space Corporation and was a member of the EU’s Horizon Mission Board for climate-neutral and smart cities. 

Before joining Vodafone in April 2017, Joakim was the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). Prior to that, he spent more than 15 years in the foreign service of Sweden, including as Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador to the World Trade Organization and at the Permanent Representation to the European Union. Joakim also served as an EU negotiator with DG TRADE at the European Commission.

A Swedish national, Joakim holds a Masters in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Masters in Political Science from Lund University.

Commissioner Ward is a seasoned executive whose career has been characterized by successful collaboration across public, private and not-for-profit organizations to design and deliver inclusive economic growth strategies. Before joining the Pay Equity Commission in 2020, Commissioner Ward worked on implementing aspects of the Federal Government's "Feminist International Assistance Policy" where she increased women's participation in international trade, the labour market as well as equitable participation of men and women in their local economy. Her expertise has taken her around the world working with legislators to establish programs and legislation that support women-led micro and small enterprises.  She is a Queens’s Diamond Jubilee Medalist, recognized for her work contributing to significant economic improvement in various Canadian cities. Commissioner Ward firmly believes that equity and inclusion are the foundation for sustainable economic prosperity.

Henk Ovink was appointed by the Cabinet of the Netherlands as the first Special Envoy for International Water Affairs in 2015. As the Ambassador for Water, he is responsible for advocating water awareness around the world, focusing on building institutional capacity and coalitions among governments, multilateral organisations, the private sector and NGOs to address the world’s pressing water needs and help initiate transformative interventions.

Henk Ovink has a proven track record in water and sustainable urban development and holds several international posts. One of these is Sherpa to the High Level Panel on Water, installed by the then UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and President of the World Bank Jim Kim. The High Level Panel on Water comprises 11 Heads of State/Heads of Government including Prime Minister Rutte from the Netherlands. The High Level Panel strives to catalyse change in water awareness and implementation.

He is Principal for Rebuild by Design, the resilience innovation competition he developed and led for President Obama's Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force. His last book, written together with Jelte Boeijenga, ‘Too Big. Rebuild by Design: A Transformative Approach to Climate Change’ explores the recovery work post Hurricane Sandy as a learning opportunity.

To ensure long-term continuity, Henk Ovink plays an active role in academia. He holds a research position at the University of Groningen and teaches at  the London School of Economics and at Harvard Graduate School of Design.

In January 2018, Henk Ovink was awarded honorary membership of the Royal Institute of Engineers of the Netherlands for his ‘global water work’.

In February 2020, he was awarded the IHS Urban Professional Award for his contribution to the field of resilient cities.

Ali Kooli, Ministre Tunisien de l’Economie, des Finances et de soutien à l’Investissement. Dame Sally Davies was appointed as the UK Government’s Special Envoy on AMR in 2019. She is also the 40th Master of Trinity College, Cambridge University. Dame Sally was the Chief Medical Officer for England and Senior Medical Advisor to the UK Government from 2011-2019. She has become a leading figure in global health including serving as a member of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Executive Board 2014-2016 and as co-convener of the United Nations Inter-Agency Co-ordination Group (IACG) on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) reporting in 2019. In the 2020 New Year Honours, Dame Sally became the second woman (and the first outside the Royal family) to be appointed Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath (GCB) for services to public health and research, having received her DBE in 2009.

Dr. Kamran Khan is a practising infectious disease physician and a Professor of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Toronto. He is also the Founder and CEO of BlueDot, a digital health company that combines the power of big data, human and artificial intelligence to help governments, private enterprises, and healthcare systems build resilience and readiness to infectious disease threats.

Marion works for the Johnson & Johnson Foundation and is collaborating on the delivery of the Johnson & Johnson Global Community Impact strategy in EMEA and for realizing its vision of supporting and championing the people on the front lines of delivering care. Marion is a seasoned global health and partnering professional with close to 12 years’ experience spanning a career working for leading organisations across the private, public and non-profit sectors. Throughout the years Marion built a career co-creating, facilitating and managing partnerships across big and small organisations and discovered that social change and improvement of health is not enough. Privileged to work with some of the leading health innovators, system’s thinkers and entrepreneurs, she has been challenging the status quo by advocating for new ways of partnering with the belief that collective action and impact approaches are needed to drive transformation and systemic change. She has also been exploring how to best invest in resilience at individuals, communities and health systems level to shift from curing bad health to sustaining good health. Hichem ELLOUMI joined ELLOUMI Group in 1977 where he held several strategic positions such as Leading Operations, Leading distribution and electrical contracting. In 2019 Rod took on responsibility to lead our global online learning businesses in schools, higher education and employer based learning, in addition to his role as president for Pearson UK. Rod has led Pearson UK since 2010 and from 2014-2019 he also led all other core markets for Pearson. Rod has worked in education, publishing, and assessment for more than 30 years in universities, schools, colleges, professional training, and learning technologies in the UK and internationally. Rod is a trustee for the Education and Employers Taskforce, a fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, governor for Harlow College and the BMAT multi-academy trust, and past president of the Publishers Association. He is also chair of the judging panel for the National Teaching Awards. Rod is a graduate of University College London.
