About Philip Haywood

Philip Haywood is a health economist and physician. He currently leads the program of work on health system resilience at the OECD. Philip has over 20 years’ experience in health policy and practice. He holds ongoing academic appointments in Australia, specialising in health economics. He was an independent advisor to the governments of New Zealand, Singapore and Australia. He has practiced emergency medicine in the Asia-Pacific region for over a decade, including in remote and Indigenous communities.
