Mariña Fernández-Reino
Senior Researcher, The Migration Observatory, Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (COMPAS), University of Oxford
Mariña Fernández-Reino is a senior researcher at the Migration Observatory. Mariña completed her PhD in Sociology at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2013 with a dissertation on ethnic educational inequalities in the UK. Before joining the Migration Observatory, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Horizon 2020 project Growth, Equal Opportunities, Migration and Markets, where she investigated the labour market discrimination of ethnic and migrant minorities in Spain.
Mariña is a quantitative sociologist and her research interests include ethnic educational inequalities, the socio-economic integration of migrants and their labour market discrimination.
Magdalena Brier is the Managing Director of ProFuturo Foundation, an education programme launched in 2016 by Telefonica Foundation and “la Caixa” Foundation to narrow the education gap in the world by providing quality digital education for children in vulnerable contexts. ProFuturo has benefited more than 11,5 million children and 450.000 teachers in 38 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.
She holds a Master’s degree in Economic Sciences from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and an MBA from IESE Business School. She joined the Telefonica Group in August 2000 as Deputy Director of Finance and Planning for Telefonica Data. She had previously held several positions in Financing international projects and Financial Controlling within Alcatel Spain since 1989. After a period working in Financial Controlling for Telefonica Group, she joined Telefonica Foundation in November 2008 as Director of Management and Resources. In January 2019, she was promoted to Chief of Staff of the Chairman´s Office, assuming the coordination of Telefonica Foundation and ProFuturo Foundation. In June 2019, she was appointed Managing Director of ProFuturo Foundation.
Dr. Celia de Anca is currently the Director of Diversity at IE Business School where she is also the Director of Centre for Diversity in Global Management at IE Business School and the Saudi-Spanish Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance at IE Business School,. She was previously the Director of Corporate Programmes at the Euro-Arab Management School (EAMS), Granada. She has also worked for the Fundación Cooperación Internacional y Promoción Ibero-América Europa. (CIPIE) and at the International Division of Banco de Santander. She has a master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Boston), and from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. She holds a degree and PhD from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, with a comparative thesis on Islamic, ethical/ecological investment funds and on the London Market.
She is the Author of Beyond Tribalism, Palgrave McMillan 2012, and co-author of the Managing Diversity in the Global Organization. Macmillan 2007. She had articles published in specialised journals, in addition to regular articles in the press. She was an external advisor of the Merrill Lynch’s Diversity & Inclusion Council up to 2009. She has been a member of the Executive Committee of IE Business School from 2005 to 2015. She is a member of the Ethics Committee of InverCaixa’ s Ethics Fund, Spain and a member of the International Scientific Committee of the University Euromed in Marseille, France. Antonio J. Jara (CEO), founder of HOP Ubiquitous S.L., and chair of Data Quality and IoT in IEEE. He did his PhD (Cum Laude) at the University of Murcia (UMU), Spain. These PhD results present a novel way to connect objects to Internet-enabled platforms in an easy, secure and scalable way. He also carried out a MBA and entrepreneurship formation in the ENAE business school and UCAM (2012). He received entrepreneurship awards from ENAE (sponsored by SabadellCAM financial services), emprendeGo (sponsored by Spanish government), IPSO Alliance Award (Sponsored by Google) for its disruptive innovation in the IoT, selected and mentored by the acceleration program FIWARE. Alejandro Romero is the CEO and founder of Alto Data Analytics, a big data analytics agency focused on public data. Alto’s software analyzes in real-time data sources and delivers actionable insights, using proprietary, advanced analytics algorithms and AI.
Before founding Alto, Alejandro was VP of Viacom for southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa and was Director of Strategic Partnerships at Yahoo! for Southern Europe; where he forged strategic partnerships with Microsoft and Google. Alejandro has helped companies form digital strategies in over 20 markets worldwide.

Enrique graduated from Santa Maria del Pilar School, in Madrid (1990).
He holds a law degree from Carlos III University of Madrid (1994) and was admitted to the Spanish Government Legal Services in 1997 (Abogado del Estado).
He joined Telefónica Legal department in 2006 as Head of Public Law and later Head of Telecommunications and Information Society Legal Affairs, being responsible for Regulation and Competition legal issues.
In 2008, he was appointed Chief Legal Officer of Telefónica, S.A., reporting to the Group's General Counsel and in September 2011, the General Counsel of Telefonica Europe, reporting to the regional CEO.

Until 2006, he served as State Lawyer for the Spanish State Administration, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Energy and the High Court of Cataluña.
From 2002 to 2004, he served as General Director for Legislation (Secretario General Técnico) of the Ministry of Science & Technology.
