About Paloma Villa Mateos
Paloma Villa Mateos is Head of Digital Public Policy at Telefónica. Paloma, was born in Sevilla (Spain) in 1972, is graduated in Political Sciences and specialized in International Relations at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. She studied European Studies at RWTH-Aachen (Germany) and a postgraduate in “Managing a Digital Telco” at the Universidad Politécnica of Barcelona. She began her career working in European Institutions, first in the European Commission and after in the European Parliament living in Brussels since 1997 to 2004. Then she moved to Madrid and worked in the International Secretary of the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE) and then she continues her career at the office of the Spanish Secretary of State for Latin America and in the Cabinet of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affair until 2011. Since 2012 she works for Telefónica developing public positioning and representing the company in international for a, like the OECD, dealing with telecommunication and digital policies.
