About Nabil Ahmed

Nabil Ahmed is Head of Executive Strategy and Communications at Oxfam International, a global network that fights inequality to end poverty and injustice. He is also working closely as part of the People’s Vaccine Alliance, which Oxfam is a part of together with leading civic, human rights and health organizations including UNAIDS and Amnesty International. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Nabil works to influence political and corporate actors to tackle economic inequality and the climate crisis, and to advance women’s rights. He also co-hosts an Oxfam podcast called "EQUALS", which brings together thinkers, politicians and activists from around the world on hope for a fairer world. Nabil has worked on initiatives such as the International Labour Organization’s Global Commission on the Future of Work and the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council, and previously worked in the private sector at Unilever and L’Oréal. A British national, he is a graduate of the University of Manchester and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA).
