About Milan Brglez

Milan Brglez is a political scientist with a master’s degree in International Law and a PhD in International Relations. He entered into national politics in 2014, being elected to the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, where he also took the role of the Speaker of the National Assembly. Since 2019, he has been serving as a member of the European Parliament (EP). His activities in the EP include membership in the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and substitute membership in the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety. Within the former, Brglez is amongst else serving as the rapporteur for the own-initiative report “Towards a European Action on Care”. He is also a vice-chair of the EP Child Rights Intergroup and co-chair of the Interest Group on Solidarity between Generations.
