About Luana Génot

Luana Génot is the Founder and Executive Director of Instituto Identidades do Brasil (ID_BR), an organisation whose purpose is to accelerate the promotion of racial equality and the inclusion of black and indigenous people in the labour market.

Mother of Alice and Hugo, Luana was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is a weekly columnist for O Globo newspaper in Ela Magazine, and is also the author of the books "Mais Forte - Entre Lutas e Conquistas" (Stronger - Between Struggles and Achievements), the most recent and children's book "Guerreiras do Sim" (Yes Warriors), and "Sim à Igualdade Racial" (Yes to Racial Equality), finalist for the 2020 Jabuti Award.  

She is the host of the Sexta Black program on the GNT channel and a judge on the business and entrepreneurship game show 'Ideas for Sale' on Netflix. 

Winner with ID_BR of the 18th Folha de São Paulo Social Entrepreneur Award, in the Human Rights category, and selected as one of the 100 most influential black people by MIPAD in 2022.

She is part of the Young Global Leaders Network of the World Economic Forum.
