Jocelyn Blériot leads the Foundation's institutional engagement. He notably represents the Foundation at the European Commission and manages the relationship with governments and supra-national bodies such as the United Nations, the G7 Resource Alliance, the OECD or the World Economic Forum.
John Hecklinger leads Global Fund for Children’s work to help children and youth worldwide reach their full potential and advance their rights. John joined GFC in 2017 after more than two decades of experience in global philanthropy and the private sector. Prior to joining GFC, John served in a series of roles at GlobalGiving, driving the growth of the world’s first crowdfunding marketplace for global causes. Long ago, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer, teaching at the University of Bangui, Central African Republic.
Michael W. Hodin, Ph.D. is CEO of the Global Coalition on Aging, Managing Partner at High Lantern Group, and a Fellow at Oxford University’s Harris Manchester College. He has spoken internationally on the topic of aging, including at G20, APEC, Davos, and the World Knowledge Forum (WKF). He is also a blogger on Medium.
From 1976-80, Mike was Legislative Assistant to Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. During this period he was also a Visiting Scholar at Brookings Institution, on U.S. Foreign Economic Policy. He was a senior executive at Pfizer, Inc. for 30 years, where he created and then led its International Public Affairs and Public Policy operations and served on Management Boards for a number of its businesses.
Mike is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and from 2010-2013, was Adjunct Senior Fellow with a focus on population aging. In 2013, Mike was invited by then-Committee Chairman Bill Nelson (D-FL) to lead a Members’ Roundtable with the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging. Mike was also the recipient of the 2012 Fred D. Thompson Award from the American Federation for Aging Research. He sits on the Boards of the Foreign Policy Association, Business Council for International Understanding, NYC Blood Center, American Skin Association, American Federation for Aging Research and Emigrant Savings Bank, where he is Chairman of its compensation committee. Mike was a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Ageing. And he sits on the Advisory Board for the Milken Institute Center for the Future of Aging.
Mike holds a BA, cum laude, Cornell University, M.Sc.in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and M.Phil and Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University.

In March 2021, Mads Krogsgaard Thomsen was appointed as CEO of the Novo Nordisk Foundation, one of the world’s largest foundations that supports scientific, humanitarian and social purposes to improve the lives of people and the sustainability of society.
Between 1991-2021, Mads Krogsgaard Thomsen held various positions at the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, most recently as Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice President of Research & Development. He is currently a member of the board of BB Biotech AG.
Mads Krogsgaard Thomsen holds a DVM, a PhD and a DSc from the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen, where he also serves as Adjunct Professor of Pharmacology.

Kasim Kutay, Chief Executive Officer, Novo Holdings A/S
Kasim Kutay has served as CEO of Novo Holdings A/S since joining the company in 2016. Headquartered in Denmark and with offices in San Francisco, Boston, Singapore and London, Novo Holdings A/S is a world-leading life sciences investor. Prior to joining Novo Holdings A/S, Kasim Kutay served as managing director, co-head of Europe and member of the Global Management Committee of Moelis & Co. in the UK (2009-2016).
From 1989 to 2007, Kasim Kutay held several positions at Morgan Stanley, UK, including as chair of the European Healthcare Group.
Kasim Kutay holds a BSc in Economics and a MSc in Politics of the World Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Cary Funk is director of science and society research at Pew Research Center, where she leads the Center’s efforts to understand the implications of science for society. The Center studies the social, ethical and policy implications of scientific developments in areas such as climate and energy, emerging issues in genetic engineering, and food and space science. She has authored or co-authored a number of reports focused on public trust in science, scientific experts and science news and information.
Funk has broad expertise in public opinion research and has specialized in public understanding of science issues for nearly two decades. Prior to joining Pew Research Center, she directed the Virginia Commonwealth University Life Sciences Surveys, national surveys on science and biotechnology. Funk began her career at CBS News in New York working on preelection polling and analysis of exit polls. She earned a doctorate and a master’s in social psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Payal Dalal
Senior Vice President, Social Impact, International Markets, Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth
Payal currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Social Impact, International Markets at the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth. She joined the Center in April 2018, oversees the Center’s philanthropic investments around the globe and manages the Center’s international team across Dubai, London, Miami, New York and Singapore.
Previously, she was Head of Global Community Programs for Standard Chartered Bank. In this capacity, she designed the Bank’s new community investment strategy and oversaw all programs related to education, girls’ empowerment, global health, emergency response, and disaster relief. Payal joined Standard Chartered in July 2008 as the Head of Public Affairs for the Americas.
Payal serves as a trustee for Global Impact UK and is a fellow at the RSA and the Institute for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability. In 2020, she was appointed to the Advisory Group for the WE EMPOWER G-7 program of UN Women and the Working Group on Financial Health of the UN Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development. A Texas native, Payal has a BA with honors from Stanford University and an MBA and an MPA from New York University.
Lamia Kamal-Chaoui is the Director of the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities (CFE). She supports the Secretary-General in achieving the OECD’s mission to advance economic growth and social progress as well as contributing to other global agendas such as the G20, the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and the implementation of the SDGs. Ms Kamal-Chaoui has held several senior positions at the OECD since 1998 and was appointed Director of the CFE in 2016. She holds a Master’s Degree in Macroeconomics from the University of Paris Dauphine and a Master’s Degree in Foreign Languages and History from the University of Paris Diderot.
Ron Gass joined the organisation’s predecessor, the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation in 1958, and witnessed the transition to the OECD. He was founding director of the OECD Directorate of Social Affairs, Manpower and Education in 1974, and before that, helped launch the Centre for Educational Research and Innovation. He also worked for NATO and is a former consultant to the European Commission and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Benjamin (Ben) Davies is the Global Lead for the Johnson & Johnson Center for Health Worker Innovation (CHWI) and Global Community Impact Lead for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). Within the latter role, Ben also has leadership oversight of the Johnson & Johnson Foundation for the EMEA region.
Ben is a seasoned private sector partnership and global health professional with 20 years’ experience spanning a career working for renowned international organisations across the private, public and non-profit sectors.
Ben has built a career co-creating, designing, facilitating, managing and implementing partnerships with some of the world’s largest (and smallest) NGO’s, foundations, companies and (inter-) governmental actors in creating platforms for collective impact.
A great believer in seeking innovative solutions in driving systemic and sustainable change, Ben is currently devoted to the movement of helping transform community health, one step at a time.
