Matthew E. Kahn is the Provost Professor of Economics at the University of Southern California.  He serves as the Director of the Health Markets Initiative at the USC Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics. He is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research.  He is the author of seven books.
