Wonki Min

President, State University of New York, Korea; Ambassador for Science, Technology & Innovation, Republic of Korea

Wonki Min received his BA in History from Yonsei University, an MA in Public Administration from Seoul National University, an MBA from the University of Washington, and Honorary Doctor in Business Administration from Busan University of Foreign Studies. Min was the Assistant Minister at the Korean Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP) from 2015 to 2017 and then served as the Vice Minister of MSIT from August 26, 2018 till December 20, 2019. He was also the first Spokesperson of MSIP when the Ministry was established in 2013. He also served on the faculty of SUNY Korea as a leading professor in the Department of Technology & Society from 2017-2018. Internationally, he was serving as chair of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Council (2015) and the OECD Committee on Digital Economy Policy (2017-2019). Min has been recognised throughout his career for his exemplary leadership and work ethic, receiving several prestigious awards, including the Red Stripes Order of Service Merit in 2015, awarded by the President of South Korea. Since 1999, Min has developed several publications focusing on the telecommunications industry including his latest co-authored publications, “Broadband and Job Creation” and “Digital Convergence Strategy.”
Andrea Gómez & Antonio J. Jara

Andrea Gómez (CMO). She has a strong experience in creativity/design, marketing and communication. She holds a Master in research & dissemination of the Cultural Heritage and a PhD in Communication / Marketing about Smart Destinations, which verses about the use of ICTs for the dissemination and protection of the cultural heritage based on the needs of the new generations as Millennials, Z and Hashtags. Andrea works actively in product/service development, working on solutions that are focused on the final users (citizens & visitors) with methodologies as Design Thinking & co-creation, developing solutions that are directly based on the social & cultural needs. /// Antonio J. Jara (CEO), founder of HOP Ubiquitous S.L. (www.hopu.eu), and chair of Data Quality and IoT in IEEE. He did his PhD (Cum Laude) at the University of Murcia (UMU), Spain. These PhD results present a novel way to connect objects to Internet-enabled platforms in an easy, secure and scalable way. He also carried out a MBA and entrepreneurship formation in the ENAE business school and UCAM (2012). He received entrepreneurship awards from ENAE (sponsored by SabadellCAM financial services), emprendeGo (sponsored by Spanish government), IPSO Alliance Award (Sponsored by Google) for its disruptive innovation in the IoT, selected and mentored by the acceleration program FIWARE. Antonio Jara as part of HOPU is focused on the Smart Cities market with solutions for citizens engagements and environmental monitoring (air quality sensors). Antonio Jara has also participated in over 100 international events about Internet of Things as Speaker, over 100 international publications / papers (~5000 citations and impact factor h=37), he holds several patents in the IoT domain and finally he has advised in the IoT domain to companies such as Microsoft and Fujitsu.
Vincent F. Hendricks

Professor of Formal Philosophy; Director of Center for Information and Bubble Studies, University of Copenhagen

Vincent F. Hendricks is Professor of Formal Philosophy at The University of Copenhagen. He is Director of the Center for Information and Bubble Studies (CIBS) funded by the Carlsberg Foundation. Hendricks is the author of multiple books on logic, methodology, formal epistemology, attention economics, information theory and bubble studies and has been was awarded a number of prizes for his research among them The Elite Research Prize by the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, The Roskilde Festival Elite Research Prize, Choice Magazine Outstanding Academic Title Award and The Rosenkjær Prize. He was Editor-in-Chief of Synthese: An International Journal for Epistemology, Methodology and Philosophy of Science between 2005-2015. 
Marion Birnstill

Global Community Impact EMEA, Johnson & Johnson

Marion works for the Johnson & Johnson Foundation and is collaborating on the delivery of the Johnson & Johnson Global Community Impact strategy in EMEA and for realizing its vision of supporting and championing the people on the front lines of delivering care. Marion is a seasoned global health and partnering professional with close to 12 years’ experience spanning a career working for leading organisations across the private, public and non-profit sectors. Throughout the years Marion built a career co-creating, facilitating and managing partnerships across big and small organisations and discovered that social change and improvement of health is not enough. Privileged to work with some of the leading health innovators, system’s thinkers and entrepreneurs, she has been challenging the status quo by advocating for new ways of partnering with the belief that collective action and impact approaches are needed to drive transformation and systemic change. She has also been exploring how to best invest in resilience at individuals, communities and health systems level to shift from curing bad health to sustaining good health. Marion obtained a Degree in Literature and Philosophy in France and Germany and graduated with a Master’s Degree in International Business in London where she specialized in Corporate Social Responsibility in the pharmaceutical industry. Marion is a native French speaker and is fluent in German and English. She is passionate about swimming against the tide, bringing up her son as responsible global citizen, and finding inner peace thanks to yoga!
Kyoko Ozawa

Student, former Chief Future Officer, Euglena

Kyoko Ozawa is 18 years old. Born in Japan, she lived in the US for two years and now makes her home in Tokyo, Japan. In 2019, she served as the first ever Chief Future Officer for Euglena, a sustainable bio venture company. She received the silver prize in the 2019 junior contest from the Japan Society for Bioscience, Biotechnology and Agrochemistry and has been a guest columnist for ATOMOΣ, journal of the Atomic Energy Society of Japan. At her school, she has been an active volunteer and has served as the director of its sports festival. Ms. Ozawa will be starting university in April 2021 and plans to study sustainability in economic fields.
Denis Machuel became Chief Executive Officer of Sodexo in January 2018. His vision is aligned with that of Sodexo’s founder, Pierre Bellon; growth, intrapreneurship and humanity remain the core principles that guide our company’s future and unite our employees. Denis joined the company in 2007. He was appointed CEO of Sodexo Benefits & Rewards worldwide in 2012. His scope was broadened to include a new cross-functional role, he became Sodexo’s first Chief Digital Officer in 2015. In 2016, he then also took on the additional role of CEO of Personal and Home Services. Denis ensures that Sodexo’s development supports economic growth that is based on the sustainable use of resources and valuing our shared humanity. He is personally invested in Sodexo’s efforts to fight against food waste and combat social and economic inequality. He joined the G7 Business for Inclusive Growth (B4IG) coalition in 2019 and is a member of the multistakeholder coalition dedicated to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal on food waste (Champions 12.3).

Silvana Koch-Mehrin

President and Founder, Women Political Leaders

Silvana is the President and Founder of Women Political Leaders (WPL), the worldwide network of women Politicians. WPL is an independent, non-partisan and not-for-profit foundation that aims to increase both the number and influence of women in political leadership. Silvana served as Vice-President of the European Parliament (2009-2011) and Member of the European Parliament (2004-2014). Before her time in politics, she founded and ran a public affairs consultancy in Brussels, which later merged with a larger US firm. She also worked as Senior Special Advisor for EY and as Senior Policy Advisor for GPLUS Europe. In addition to her work for WPL, Silvana serves on the board of the Council of Women World Leaders, the network of female Presidents and Prime Ministers. She is also a member of the European Leadership Network (ELN), a Board Director of the Social Progress Imperative and member of the Global Advisory Network of Apolitical Academy Global. Since 2016, Silvana has been representing the European Union in the Executive Committee of W20, an official engagement group of the G20. In 2018 and 2019, she was ranked as one of the 100 most influential persons in gender equality by Apolitical. Silvana is a Young Global Leader Alumni of the World Economic Forum. She lives in Brussels, Belgium with her three kids and their Irish father.
Michael Hodin

CEO, Global Coalition on Aging

Michael W. Hodin, Ph.D. is CEO of the Global Coalition on Aging, Managing Partner at High Lantern Group, and a Fellow at Oxford University’s Harris Manchester College. He has spoken internationally on the topic of aging, including at G20, APEC, Davos, and the World Knowledge Forum (WKF). He is also a blogger on Medium. From 1976-80, Mike was Legislative Assistant to Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. During this period he was also a Visiting Scholar at Brookings Institution, on U.S. Foreign Economic Policy. He was a senior executive at Pfizer, Inc. for 30 years, where he created and then led its International Public Affairs and Public Policy operations and served on Management Boards for a number of its businesses. Mike is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and from 2010-2013, was Adjunct Senior Fellow with a focus on population aging. In 2013, Mike was invited by then-Committee Chairman Bill Nelson (D-FL) to lead a Members’ Roundtable with the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging. Mike was also the recipient of the 2012 Fred D. Thompson Award from the American Federation for Aging Research. He sits on the Boards of the Foreign Policy Association, Business Council for International Understanding, NYC Blood Center, American Skin Association, American Federation for Aging Research and Emigrant Savings Bank, where he is Chairman of its compensation committee. Mike was a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Ageing. And he sits on the Advisory Board for the Milken Institute Center for the Future of Aging. Mike holds a BA, cum laude, Cornell University, M.Sc.in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and M.Phil and Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University.

Jacques van den Broek is the CEO and Chair of the Executive Board of Randstad, the global leader in HR services industry. After graduating in law, Jacques held a management position with an international trading company until he joined Randstad as a branch manager. Appointments followed as Regional Director in the Netherlands and, subsequently, as Marketing Director Randstad Europe. In 2002, he moved to Capac Inhouse Services as Managing Director, also taking on responsibility for Randstad in Denmark and Switzerland.
