Lucy Kellaway is an award-winning FT writer, whose weekly column "Lucy Kellaway On Management" became globally renowned for its witty perspective on life in the office, workplace jargon and management fads. She wrote the column for 15 years, and prior to that had roles at the FT as energy correspondent, Brussels correspondent and a Lex writer. She also frequently interviewed prominent business people and celebrities for the Weekend FT's series, Lunch with the FT.
Lucy was named Columnist Of The Year at the 2006 British Press Awards and Best Commentator at the 2007 Business Journalist of the Year Awards. She has also won the Wincott Young Financial Journalist Award and has twice won the Work Foundation's Workworld Media Award.
Her first book 'Sense and Nonsense in the Office' was published in 1999 and was followed by 'Martin Lukes: Who Moved My Blackberry?' in which she followed her fictional character for a year via his e-mails. 'The Real Office: All The Office Questions You Never Dared To Ask' was described by the Sunday Times as 'dispensing water-cooler wisdom, not motivational gobbledygook.' 'In Office Hours' was published in 2011.
From summer 2017 she worked as a maths teacher in a "challenging" London secondary school. She is now an economics teacher at Mossbourne Victoria Park academy in east London
