About Clare Kelliher

Clare Kelliher, BSc, MA, PhD is Professor of Work and Organisation at Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield University, UK. 

Clare’s research and teaching interests are concerned with the changing world of work and focuses on the organisation of work and the management of the employment relationship. She has a long-standing interest in and is renowned for her work on the implementation of work-life initiatives, particularly flexible working arrangements and has published widely on this topic.  Her research is impactful informing the work of governments, policy groups and employer practice.

She currently directs an Economic and Social Research Council funded project designed to examine how the use of the government furlough schemes during the Covid-19 pandemic have influencing employer perceptions and opportunities for part-time working.

Clare is the author of numerous journal articles, books and book chapters and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences.  She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and a member of the International Women’s Forum.
