About Caitlin Byrne
Professor Caitlin Byrne is Director of the Griffith Asia Institute, where she leads a research and engagement agenda focused on political and security dynamics of the Asia Pacific. Caitlin is an advocate for sustainable, just and prosperous policy outcomes for society. She heads Australia’s delegation to the W20, and co-chairs its MSME group. She is a faculty fellow of the University of Southern California's Centre for Public Diplomacy (CPD), and a fellow of the Australian Institute for International Affairs (AIIA). Previously, she worked in foreign and social policy roles within federal and state government and in the community sector.
