Alexis Roig currently serves as CEO of SciTech DiploHub, the leading international think-and-do tank working at the intersection of science, technology, and foreign affairs. He also serves as Barcelona’s Chief Science and Tech Envoy, representing the city’s science, technology, and innovation ecosystem before UN bodies, International Organizations and foreign governments. He is the Commissioner for International Affairs of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region strategic plan, a professor at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (USST), Associate Researcher at the Barcelona Centre for International Relations (CIDOB), Associate Professor of Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI). He has over 15 years’ experience as Senior Advisor on Science and Technology Diplomacy for ministries of Foreign Affairs and Science of governments across Asia, Europe and Latin America. 

Mr. Roig is founder and member of the board of numerous nonprofits and think tanks on Public Diplomacy, Innovation Policy, AI Governance, and Science Advice. He serves as president of the Catalan Institute of China; editorial board member of the publication El Món De Demà; member of the Council of Catalonia Abroad, the advisory body on foreign affairs and diaspora diplomacy of the Government of Catalonia; member of the advisory board of Digital Future Society, think tank supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation of the Government of Spain focused on the governance of emerging digital technologies; member of the International Network for Government Science Advice of the International Science Council (ISC); and board member of the Space and Aerospace Commission of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce.

He holds a master’s in Computer Science from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, an MBA from EM Normandie Business School, a Postgraduate degree in Diplomacy from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research and Executive Education in Leadership and Public Administration by ESADE and IESE.

Hello, we present to you the most prominent effective figures in sustainable development from the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Mohamed Sabry Al-Tawabti, Vice Chairman of the Planning and Development Committee of the Egyptian National Council. Dr. Mohamed Al-Tawabti participated in youth forums and international, Arab and local meetings and obtained several memberships, most notably: Active participation in the high-level political forum on sustainable development at the United Nations. He is also a member of the United Nations Youth for Sustainable Development Vision 2030, and he is the first Egyptian researcher to receive membership in the researchers group of the World Academy for Research,
He is also a member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council Youth Forum, a membership in the Stockholm +50 International Youth Conference, a membership in the United Nations Global Compact Leaders Summit for 2022, and a co-member of the first climate weeks in the Middle East and also in the Latin American region July 2022, It has also received membership in the UN Secretary-General's Climate Initiative, a member of the Marine Litter and Digital Plastic Pollution Platform and a member of the Working Group on Transforming Extractive Industries for Sustainable Development.
He is a prominent member of the European Union Youth Ambassadors for the Climate Pact, a member of the OECD Forum Network, an active member of the Arab Youth in the Sustainable Development Department of the League of Arab States, and one of the most active members of the Board of Trustees of the Million Youth Volunteer Initiative for Climate Adaptation, as well as a member of the Poverty Index design cycle group Multi-dimensionality to enrich the sustainable development goals of the United Nations organizations concerned in partnership with Oxford University. He is a participating member of the United Nations Green Forum and a participant in the meetings of the institutions of the Islamic Development Bank in Sharm El Sheikh 2022. He is also a participant in the African Development Bank meetings 2022 and an associate member of the Qatar Economic Forum 2022.

He had a distinguished presence in the international meeting held by the United Nations General Assembly for a healthy green planet, and participated in the Global Week of Action to Combat Desertification. Thank you

Professor Hirona Matayoshi is a Professor in Applied Linguistics at Yokohama National University. She earned her B.A in Political Science at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT and her M.Ed. in Curriculum, Instruction and Technology in Education (Applied Linguistics & TESOL) at the Temple University Graduate School (College of Education) in Philadelphia, USA. Professor Hirona Matayoshi is bilingual in English, Japanese, and Semi-lingual in the Okinawan language (designated as an endangered language by the UNESCO since 2009). Prior to joining the faculty at Yokohama National University, she was an Associate Professor at Osaka Seikei University Department of Global Tourism and Business, she was an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Language and Culture at Osaka University, a Lecturer at Rikkyo University and Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. Professor Matayoshi's research centers around 3 themes: The first theme is based upon Bilingual Education that focuses upon the preservation of indigenous languages and culture. The second theme is Applied Linguistics (Curriculum Development) including governmental policies (OECD) architecturally influencing global education. The third theme is using the first and second themes to examine and assist Intangible Heritage volunteer groups to sustain their cultural heritage (language, art, and architecture) through merging all possibilities to promote and reconstruct.

Till January 2015, I have worked as a Social Worker at the National Health Operations Center, Greek Ministry of Health. In 2014 I have accomplished my MSc studies in Health Economics & Management. At the moment I'm enrolling my PhD on Thermal, Wellness Tourism and Rehabilitation aspiring to elaborate on the barriers and perspectives regarding the relevant industry in Fthiotida Regional Unity. 

Prior to that I have worked as a Social Worker at the European Cultural & Research Center of Athens in collaboration with Municipalities of Zografos and Kessariani, while in the past I have worked either as a Social Worker, or as an Administrative officer in several private Healthcare Units/Long term care units, such as Polyclinic Group, etc.

As of 2012 and according to a Ministerial mandate I was appointed as a Board Member of Interconnected General Hospitals of Lamia - Amfissa - Karpenisi, keeping this position for approximately one and a half year.

As of October 2016 till November 2019 I have been appointed by the Minister of Labor, Social Insurance & Social Solidarity as the Head of the Board of Directors at the Social Welfare Center of the Region of Central Greece (Public Law Legal Entity - Governmental Organisation) which is the main regional-level social care provision services cluster, trying to contribute to the implementation of the Greek Government's strategic plan on social care, foster care, "DI", family care and people with special needs protection.

In parrallel, between the the same period I have been an Alternate Member of the Board of Directors of the first National Adoption & Foster-care Council in accordance to the relevant Ministerial Desicion.

I have also been an elected Member of the BoD at the Hellenic Healthcare Services Association, carrying duties of the Chief Communications Officer, as of 2017 I am a Member of the European Commission’s SCHEER Committee on Rapid Risk Assessment of Healthcare and Environmental Risks, participating in annual in person one-day/two-day external experts' meetings with focus on public health risks assessment, while as of November 2021 till June 2022 one of the 60 delegates of the European Health Parliament's 7th Edition working as a Member of the Sustainable Health Systems Commitee.

Finally, my current professional capacity is linked to the Hellenic Parliament's function, as I'm an MP's Scientific Associate, providing assistance regarding daily institutional obligations, parliamentary control and cognate activities.
