About Aarunima Bhatnagar

A dynamic, results-oriented professional with over 17 years of progressive and diverse experience of working in humanitarian settings especially C4D (Communication for Development) in emergencies. Has worked in UNICEF country offices of Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Bangladesh, India, UK and Armenia to name a few, where she has been spear heading the C4D initiatives. During her career, she has been able to work and publish several articles on Humanitarian work and the role of C4D. Has worked with London Primary care trusts to provide support to Black, Ethnic and Minority groups in the UK. With several accomplishments under her belt, she has also been awarded the Staff award for Ebola Emergency in UNICEF, Sierra Leone and shortlisted for Asian Women Achievement Awards for Humanitarian efforts in UK. She now is deployed in Iraq, as Chief for C4D. Before joining Iraq, she was based in Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh leading on the Community engagement initiatives for the Rohingya response.
