Paola Pirrello

A Brussels-based Equality and No Discrimination Law Advocate , https://www.linkedin.com/in/paola-pirrello-240688131

I am Paola Pirrello, a Brussels-based Equality and No Discrimination Law advocate. The attainment of the principles of Equality and No Discrimination is my core mission in my personal and professional life, as in my view these principles are the foundations for a society, on which all the other values can be built. The Comparative Equality and Anti Discrimination Law at the University of Stanford contributed to create a global view of equality and anti-discrimination law, comparing U.S., European and other legal systems worldwide. Being part of Global Women Club empowers my mission concretely. Being a member of Young Professionals in the Foreign Policy - Bruxelles, the International Bar Association and the American Bar Association provide me with an insightful and fruitful view on business issues which I would like now to use for a new higher purpose in line with foreign European objectives and values in the Transatlantic relations empowerment. The World In Progress Project at the United Nations ECOSOC in New York I attended boosted the knowledge of the UN Agenda 2030 planning and implementation, together with a direct exchange of views with UN representatives involved in this mission. It has been a life-changing experience and from then on I empowered to committ myself to find potential more sustainable development systems Women Economic Forum in Birmingham on July 10th has seen my presence as a Speaker and I would be very pleased to share my contribution, which proposes itself to shape a new equilibrium in the international normative development framework. The Title of my contribution is: "A Progressive Fullfillment of a Human Rights - based society in line with a Progressive Development of the International Law".

Charles Thiede

CEO & Co-Founder, Zapnito

My background is in technology, professional services and digital media. I co-founded Zapnito due to a number of related observations from my time in these sectors: 1) the social web is creating a huge amount of noise 2) expertise that brands have built up over decades is being drowned out and hidden from those that need it 3) these brands are therefore losing their audience to often undeserving and unhelpful sources, and 4) people are finding it harder to access the expertise that they truly value. I therefore decided to create Zapnito, a white-label platform to help trusted brands reclaim their audiences via expert-driven knowledge networks.
