Interesting suggestion, that tools can be developed to advance the educational process. Is the suggestion not unlike putting tools in the hands of school-aged teens expecting they will find ways to build objects? Teaching is not about the tools.
Also, why would we expect, or even encourage, government to take responsibility for assuring appropriate teaching?
Would like there to have been more feedback on material developed during the Idea Factory. Opinions expressed were those of the coordinators and not participants.
I'd would like more opportunity for free thinking and expression of ideas, both focused on stated issues and in general about purpose for government and its programs.
