Magdalena Brier is the Managing Director of ProFuturo Foundation, an education programme launched in 2016 by Telefonica Foundation and “la Caixa” Foundation to narrow the education gap in the world by providing quality digital education for children in vulnerable contexts. ProFuturo has benefited more than 11,5 million children and 450.000 teachers in 38 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia. She holds a Master’s degree in Economic Sciences from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and an MBA from IESE Business School. She joined the Telefonica Group in August 2000 as Deputy Director of Finance and Planning for Telefonica Data. She had previously held several positions in Financing international projects and Financial Controlling within Alcatel Spain since 1989. After a period working in Financial Controlling for Telefonica Group, she joined Telefonica Foundation in November 2008 as Director of Management and Resources. In January 2019, she was promoted to Chief of Staff of the Chairman´s Office, assuming the coordination of Telefonica Foundation and ProFuturo Foundation. In June 2019, she was appointed Managing Director of ProFuturo Foundation.

Vyacheslav Polonski is a researcher at the University of Oxford, focusing on complex social networks, collective behaviour and technology adoption. He is the founder and CEO of Avantgarde Analytics, a machine learning startup that harnesses AI & behavioural psychology for the next generation of algorithmic campaigns. In 2017, Vyacheslav completed his PhD studies at the University of Oxford as an ESRC Scholar. Prior to his PhD, Vyacheslav completed an MSc in the Social Sciences of the Internet at the Oxford Internet Institute and a BSc in Management at LSE. Vyacheslav is an active member of the World Economic Forum having participated in multiple conferences as a Global Shaper (2015, 2016, 2017) and member of the WEF Expert Network (2017). In 2018, Forbes Magazine featured him in the European Forbes 30 Under 30 list for law and policy. His research and commentary have been highlighted in the media, including in The Independent, Forbes, Bloomberg, TechCrunch, Scientific American and The New York Times.

Dr. Wolfgang Jamann is the Executive Director at the International Civil Society Centre in Berlin. He has been working in the field of development cooperation and humanitarian assistance for most of his professional life, in the past 15 years in CEO positions at international aid organisations like CARE International, Deutsche Welthungerhilfe and CARE Deutschland. As a strong supporter of inter-organisational collaborations, he has lead strategic partnerships like the ‘Alliance 2015’ or ‘United for Africa’, to promote collective approaches toward large ambitions under the Sustainable Development Goals.

Raghuram Rajan is the Katherine Dusak Miller Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at Chicago Booth. He was the 23rd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India between September 2013 and September 2016. Between 2003 and 2006, Dr. Rajan was the Chief Economist and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund. Dr. Rajan’s research interests are in banking, corporate finance, and economic development, especially the role finance plays in it. The books he has written include The Third Pillar: How the State and Markets are leaving Communities Behind 2019, I do What I do: On Reform, Rhetoric, and Resolve, 2017, and Fault Lines: How Hidden Fractures Still Threaten the World Economy, for which he was awarded the Financial Times-Goldman Sachs prize for best business book in 2010. Dr. Rajan is a member of the Group of Thirty. He was the President of the American Finance Association in 2011 and is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. In January 2003, the American Finance Association awarded Dr. Rajan the inaugural Fischer Black Prize for the best finance researcher under the age of 40. The other awards he has received include the Infosys prize for the Economic Sciences in 2012, the Deutsche Bank Prize for Financial Economics in 2013, Euromoney Central Banker Governor of the Year 2014, and Banker Magazine (FT Group) Central Bank Governor of the Year 2016.

John Gable is Co-founder and CEO of AllSides, and partnered with Joan Blades to have their two organizations, AllSides and Living Room Conversations, jointly launch the non-profit initiative AllSides For Schools. John has over 20 years of technology entrepreneurship, management and executive experience, leading product, marketing and consumer teams and divisions. He served on the original teams for Microsoft Office, Mozilla at Netscape, and ZoneAlarm at Check Point Software. He co-founded Kavi Corp (web-based collaboration, sold to Higher Logic) and previously was a professional political campaigner and executive director in the 1980s working for the Republican National Committee as well as for candidates for US President, US Senate, US Congress, Governor and local campaigns. His experience spans consumer technology products, marketing, press, community collaboration and high tech management.

Christophe Deloire is a French journalist who has been secretary-general and executive director of Reporters Without Borders (RSF) since 2012. He ran one of the leading French journalism schools, the CFJ, from 2008 to 2012, and was an investigative reporter for the politics and society sections of the French news magazine Le Point from 1998 to 2007. He has also worked for the TV channels ARTE and TF1, made documentary films, edited several authors and written several bestsellers including Les islamistes sont déjà là (2004), Sexus Politicus (2006) and Circus Politicus (2012)

Richard Wike is director of global attitudes research at Pew Research Center. He conducts research and writes about international public opinion on a variety of topics, such as America’s global image, the rise of China, democracy, and globalization. Wike gives talks and presentations to a variety of audiences, including government, think tanks, business groups, and academic conferences. Wike received a doctorate in political science from Emory University. Before joining Pew Research Center, he was a senior associate for international and corporate clients at Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research.
