As a passionate advocate and campaigner for social justice, women’s rights, the environment and labour law reforms, and Sharan has led union negotiations on major economic reforms and labour rights campaigns in her home country of Australia and globally. First elected to the post of General Secretary of the ITUC in 2010, Sharan represents 200 million workers in 163 countries with 332 national affiliates.

Sophie is the founder of the iTunes new and noteworthy, The Edtech Podcast. The mission of The Edtech Podcast is to improve the dialogue between ‘ed’ and ‘tech’ for better innovation, through storytelling. The podcast is downloaded 1500+ times a week, from up to 109 countries with the UK, US & Aus in the top 3. Sophie is a mentor and advisor within the edtech community, and is particularly passionate about female entrepreneurship.

Dr. Bo Stjerne Thomsen is the Vice-President and Chair of Learning through Play at the LEGO Foundation. Previously he was the Director of the LEGO Learning Institute, later Head of the Centre for Creativity, Play and Learning, and lastly as the Global Head of Research. He has published widely on Creativity, Play and Learning, and recently on the role of play for children’s learning in schools. He has a master’s degree in design, architecture and engineering, and a PhD on performative learning environments.
